Fourth Annual Mesquite Pancake Breakfast

Great Basin Permaculture is getting ready for this year’s Mesquite Pancake Breakfast on Saturday, November 8, 8:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. at the Permaculture Learning Garden. This annual breakfast highlights the underrated edibles that grow in our desert. The key ingredient is the mesquite bean from the mesquite trees. This is the first year we harvested and milled beans from trees at our Permaculture Learning Garden and UNLV campus. The toppings will also feature local edibles like pomegranate jelly and prickly pear syrup. Vegan, gluten-free options will be available.
All donations will fund Great Basin Permaculture’s efforts to inspire sustainable choices in dryland communities through action and education.
